Have you been looking for heavy-duty industrial
grade finned coils, for either an exact dimensional
replacement or a new application? Are you searching
for a coil, which does not plug up and can handle
the abuse of a hot water or steam wash down? Are
you tired of constantly having to repair tube
to header joint leaks?
For years, the Meat Processing Industry
has been plagued with the premature failure of
steam coils due to the smoking and cleaning process
of smoke house ovens. A number of attempts have
been made to supply coils that will be reasonably
efficient and yet not plug or leak - but all to
no avail. Conventional coils, with their paper
thin fins, do not stand up to a high pressure
hose while being washed down in an attempt to
clean them, and the fins collapse, leaving the
coil ruined. Brazed joints leak because the filler
rod has been eaten away due in part to either
inadequate condensate drainage, the smoking process
or the chemicals used to clean the coil.
Anderson - Snow Corporation offers
a coil that solves this problem! ANSCOR has developed
a coil fabricated from 5/8" O.D. x .049"
wall type 304 or type 316 Stainless Steel tubing
and .010" thick Copper flat plate fins. Fin
spacings are available from 4 to 14 fins per inch,
with a fin thickness of either .010", .016"
or .025". This heavy fin is available in
Copper, Aluminum, Type 304 or Type 316 Stainless
Steel, Monel, Carbon Steel and Cupro-Nickel. The
heavy wall 5/8" O.D. tubing used in conjunction
with this fin is also available in the above materials.
This heavy fin can take more abuse without the
fins collapsing. The wide fin spacing also makes
plugging less likely to occur. The heavy wall
Stainless Steel tubing offers a fully welded tube
to header joint. The coil is available in 1, 2
or 3 rows, either standard steam or steam distributing
(tube within a tube type) coils.
